about me

I currently hold a professional license for elementary education grades 1-6 and initial license for moderate special needs PK-8. Additionally, I am an Orton-Gillingham trained reading teacher. As an experienced lead fifth grade teacher, I am seeking to return to the teaching profession after several years as a stay-at-home parent. Currently, I am an intern in a fourth grade inclusion classroom in Cambridge, MA. I work with special education students in inclusion, sub-separate, and individual settings.

After receiving my MAT in 2001, I taught fifth grade for two years in Sharon, Massachusetts. From 2004-2014 I was a stay-at-home mother with my two daughters. One daughter actively participated in a four-year Applied Behavioral Analysis program (ABA) requiring full family participation, school collaboration and my direct supervision. It was this experience that drew me to return to graduate school in 2014 to become a teacher who creatively and effectively meets students’ special education needs.
